a wonderful giveaway

I've just found a wonderful new blog by a very talented lady (found as in pointed there by another blog I read regularly). The blog is called Don't look now.

She is having a giveaway of her new pattern and I am so tempted by it. The picture at the top is a detail of the design isn't it fabulous! Pop on over and have a look, you can even enter the draw to get one of the made up cushions.

Look what I found lounging in the ball pit!

I have finally finished my mermaid and I think she will be straight off to a little girl who was one a day before Treestump as late birthday present. Actually I may still add a little more hair as she looks great from the front but all the hair is currently anchored along the top of her head so turn her upside down and from the back she has no hair. This one got embroidered eyes mostly as I forgot to put the toy eyes in before stuffing but I think I like them more anyway.

Noodles has been after me to make him one of theses dolls and having seen this one he wants a Merboy so watch this space. He told me I had four days to do it but we have been negotiating! That said I have been promising him one for ages now. I have some ideas to add a few more details as he is older too.

a quick costume and 365 decision

Well first the 365 info. I have decided to stop doing it because it was getting to be a strain. I did about 2.5 months but have decided some days I have lots of things to photograph others I just get depressed the house is too much of a mess to photograph something easily or similar. So I'm going to do more a weekly selection instead.

On a more positive note for Red nose day both smalls went to school or nursery dressed up. Treestump wore a bought bear costume but Noodles school were doing a flying and sky theme and he decided he was going to be a cloud !! and it had to be white and fluffy so I present to you the bear and the cloud !
